We're open but there are some changes you should be aware of...

We have re-opened two locations for sales appointments and continue to offer servicing and MOT tests at our Nearly New Car Centre. In order to keep everyone safe we've made some important changes which we would like you to be aware of.

Servicing, repairs and MOT tests

Richard Nash Cars is happy to report that our service department at Vulcan Road South is now open. If your vehicle requires a service, MOT test or repair please contact us to arrange your appointment.

If your vehicle is due for an MOT now then please be aware that the government has extended MOT dates and your vehicle’s MOT expiry date will be automatically extended by 6 months, if it’s eligible. This will be done just before it’s due to expire. (See link below for full details). Remember you must still make sure your vehicle is safe and legal to drive.

Who can and who can't visit Richard Nash Cars?

We would love to welcome everyone to our branches, but we must politely ask that you do not visit us if any of the following applies to you:

  • If you or somebody you have been in close contact with in the past 14 days has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
  • If you or a member of your household currently exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19. www.nhs.uk COVID-19 Symptoms

When visiting one of our branches we are asking that you please come alone where possible or in a group of no more than two people.

Thank you for your consideration.

The steps we are taking to keep everyone safe

Just some of the changes we've made to keep you and our staff safe, here's what you can expect during you visit to Richard Nash Cars.

Contact surfaces are being disinfected regularly

Contact surfaces such as door handles, chip & pin machines and furniture are regularly cleaned throughout the day and between customers. This includes vehicle door handles, controls and keys.

Remaining 2 metres apart

We’ve changed the layout of our branches where possible to allow a distance of 2 metres between everyone. Please don’t be offended if we don’t offer a friendly handshake! We have also installed 'sneeze screens' in our branches where necessary.

Hand sanitiser available for customers and staff

We encourage our staff to regularly wash their hands and we are also providing hand sanitiser for customers who wish to use it.

Temperature checks for staff every day

You can be confident any member of our team is symptom free. We measure each member of staff’s temperature at the beginning of the day and ensure anyone who displays symptoms self-isolates in line with the latest government guidelines.

Restrictions on the number of people in branch

We are operating with a reduced number of staff across all branches. We also ask that when you visit us, you please come alone where possible or in a party of no more than two people (this includes children).

We won’t be offended if you wear a face mask or gloves

We would like you to be as comfortable as possible when visiting us. If you feel more confident wearing a face mask or gloves, please feel free to do so. We extend this same freedom to any member of staff who chooses to wear extra personal protective equipment.
